CONTEMPORARY

New Romney, Kent

Our team of Kent-based garden designers had a tough but rewarding job at this four-story house in New Romney that sits next to a sea wall. Our Kent-based garden designers were in charge of designing this one-of-a-kind garden. We designed custom-made, curved concrete sculptures that are a real focal point of the garden.  Our Kent-based garden designers built these dramatic features so that they would naturally draw the eye along the length of the garden, making it look deeper and more hidden.

The areas around the concrete were filled with light plants to soften the hard lines of the design. Our Kent-based garden designers often use this idea to make the garden look beautiful and have more movement while making sure the area seems friendly and balanced. Our skilled garden designers from Kent also did a great job of adding windows to the concrete structures. This made the garden more interesting from different viewpoints.

This project shows that garden designers in Kent can come up with imaginative ways to solve problems and make things look good. The result is a garden that is both functional and beautiful.

As Kent-based garden designers, we believe that every outdoor space should be inviting and complement its site perfectly. A seaside garden that perfectly combines powerful architectural elements with a naturalistic planting palette of purples, yellows, and flowing grasses is the best expression of this idea.

People love the Kent coast for its windswept beauty, salty air, and skies that change all the time. Our team of Kent-based garden designers took inspiration from this stunning site and developed a landscape that seems both connected to its surroundings whilst also having a modern twist.

This garden’s charm stems from the vibrant purple and yellow blooms that are combined together with a variety of attractive grasses. These colours not only look good, but they also make me think of the wildflowers that thrive along the Kentish coast. The Achillea gives off a bright yellow tint, while the Salvia gives off a dark purple colour. The grasses give an open and breezy feel to the garden, these grasses include Stipa and Miscanthus.

Our Kent-based garden designers select plants that do well in coastal settings with salty breezes and sandy soil. This allows the garden to stay strong and not need much care. The changing colours and textures make the landscape interesting all year long.

This garden’s most unusual feature is its custom-made curving concrete structures. These sculptures create the garden and help guide people through a number of connected outdoor “rooms.” The curves make the straight lines within the garden look less harsh. They also give the coastline a natural look by flowing through the garden. Not only are these concrete shapes lovely to look at, but they have multiple uses, including being seating, retaining walls, and discreet windbreaks.

Natural wood and polished concrete connect the kitchen to the rest of the garden. This makes sure that everything seem relaxed and designed.

As Kent-based garden designers, we will always begin a garden design by getting to know the site and the needs of its owners very well. We wanted this coastal garden to show off the beauty of the Kent coast and be a place that is both practical and inspiring.

Our team of Kent-based garden designers is ready to help you make your dream into a reality.  We use bold planting schemes and special elements to make ordinary gardens into great places to live, relax, and have fun.
